This month we are going to talk about something everyone overlooks. We are going to talk about home smoke detectors. Did you know in 2006 the NFPA required you to have a CO/Smoke detector on each floor of your home? We are aware that smoke detectors can become a nuisance to you sometimes chirping or going off for no reason. We would never recommend taking the batteries out and disconnecting them. They are there to keep you safe in the event of an emergency. If you have chirping or false alarms it’s time to contact us for replacement detectors. The spring is also a good time to replace the batteries in your smoke detectors, if your smoke detectors are 10 years old it is recommended that you replace them. Contact us for replacement of your older smoke detector system, you don’t want to find out that they don’t work correctly when you need them most of all.
